1.8(3) Early termination for financial exigency:  

This Licence will be in full force and effect for the duration of the Licence Period, unless
terminated earlier as provided for in this Clause. For multi-year subscriptions, if funding of an
Institution is materially reduced and the Institution thereby becomes unable to pay future
amounts payable pursuant to this Publish and Read License, the Institution may give
Publisher written notice of termination and this License shall terminate effective the later of:
(i) 30 days after the giving of such notice; or (ii) the expiration of any prepaid term. The
determination of whether funds are available shall be made at the sole discretion of the
applicable Institution, i.e. the Institution will not need to demonstrate financial exigency by
disclosing its financial statements. The termination of participation by any Institution will not
constitute a default or a termination of participation of any other Institutions under the
License.
